Colder Than Here

Nominated for N.O.D.A. Best Production Award 2007
Colder Than Here
by Laura Wade

September/October 2007

Performed at Codsall High School.

Myra is dying, but not yet! Before she goes she's got to: Plan the perfect eco-funeral, sort through the out of date spices in the cupboard, make a funeral PowerPoint presentation, unite her family, get the boiler fixed, oh, and paint the cardboard coffin..

This thought provoking play is about a woman living with cancer, and reveals a humorous side to the one inevitable thing in life, death. It demonstrates how the lives of the four members of the Bradley household are drawn together during Myra 's final months. Directed by Phil Harper, this moving drama is sure to make for an inspiring evening's entertainment.

This bitter - sweet comedy was first performed in February 2005, and earned the writer a nomination for the Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement. Now the talk of London comes to Codsall.
