Way Upstream

Way Upstream
by Alan Ayckbourn

Spring 2004

Performed at Codsall Village Hall.

Two ill-assorted couples struggling with the unfamiliar features of a holiday aboard a boat are the subject of this tale.

The difficulties being experienced by both couples, the claustrophobic atmosphere of the boat and their ineptitude in handling it all give rise to plenty of laughs.

However, a darker thread emerges when they are rescued from a sandbank by Vince, and the already fragile relationships undergo a dramatic change.
