A new year comes around and people will be making resolutions: get fitter, give more to charity, spend more time with family and friends. Maybe your resolution is to try something new. In that case, Codsall Dramatic Society might have just the thing for you.
On the 7th January 2015, 8pm at Codsall Village Hall, Codsall Dramatic Society will be holding an evening of discovery. Have you ever considered joining a drama group? Do you want a new hobby? Do you want to know how a play gets from page to stage, or do you just want to meet some new, fun and vibrant people? Then this is the night for you!
It’s not just actors that drama groups need. A whole variety of skills are needed to put on a play. There are those who do their part before the play itself – the various designers, set-builders, those who source props and costume, painters, publicists – those who work on the night – prompter, stage manager, lighting and sound technicians, and the people who take your ticket and show you to your seat. And, of course, nothing happens without a director.
Our members will demonstrate excerpts from plays, show off our costumes, props, tech and lighting, and will be there to talk to you about life in CDS and the different projects we undertake. If you would like to be a member of a Society with a wide range of ages, a good social life and enjoy a fulfilling hobby, come and meet us that night, or any other Wednesday at Codsall Village Hall.
